How to Setup a Neighborhood Directory Page Type
Neighborhood Directory Page Type:

This Page Type allows you to create a directory of neighborhoods and for each individual neighborhood, setup a profile page consisting of a default image and a short and long description of the neighborhood.  This profile page then links to that neighborhoods current MLS inventory.

When creating the profiles, you define what the neighborhood consists of, as it can contain one or more Subdivision(s) as defined in the MLS.

Essentially, you can use this Page Type to group Neighborhoods / Subdivisions of a similar type, together on one page.  This will also allow better organization and can help eliminate the number of individual pages on your site.

Please see below for further instructions on how to setup / configure this Page Type on your site.  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us by Email Ticket or Phone at http://Support.Colony1.Net/, so that we can assist you accordingly.  Thanks!

1.    Click on “Add Page” from the menu on the left in your admin area.

2.    Next, scroll down to the “Real Estate” section and click on the “Neighborhood Directory” Page Type.

3.    Specify a Title for this page and click on “Add Page” when done.

4.    Click on the “Add Neighborhood” button.

5.    Complete the information on the following page for this
neighborhood and click on the “Submit” button below when done.

NOTE:

a.    You must have at least one IDX Listings No Search Page Type already added to your site to be able to select a page from the “Listings Page” drop-down selection list.  If you have several pages to select from, please note that you can select any of these pages.  However, the page selected here will be used as the pass-thru page for displaying the listings in this
neighborhood.  Therefore, when viewing the listings in this neighborhood, the layout, header / footer, and any existing filters on the page selected here, will also carry over / apply.

b.    The “Subdivision” grid may take some time to load (which is normal) and as you scroll down on the list,
the Subdivisions that are available in your market will continue populating.  Also, from this list, you will need to check the necessary Subdivision(s) that you would like to show listings from, and that are specific / relevant for the particular neighborhood that you are adding.  If no Subdivisions are selected here, then all listings will show up by default when viewing the listings in this neighborhood, on the website.

6.    That’s it!  You’re done adding a Neighborhood to this page, but you can repeat steps 4 & 5 above to add additional Neighborhoods.
