Activation
New Internet Setup for your Union Street Station Condos requires a $30 activation fee which can be made at the Colony One Secure Payment page located at https://clients.colony1.net/. Within the PAYMENT COMMENTS / NOTES of that page please include your Computer or Router MAC address as mentioned below. Once Payment and MAC/Physical Address are recieved, we will automatically recieve a notice and will configure your apartment. For other payment methods you can reach Colony One at http://Support.Colony1.Net/ or 954-341-7031.

MAC/Physical Address
Colony One allows one MAC/Physical Address (Device) per apartment to obtain an internet connection. This means you can connect a Single Computer or a Router which allows multiple computers to connect. Once you supply Colony One with the MAC/Physical address, we can activate it under your apartment.

Cable Hook Up
You should have a primary ethernet wall jack, usually the main living room, in the condo where we supply internet.
At this jack there are 2 ethernet ports in the wall, Data Out and Data In.
If you are using a Single Computer then you should hook up an ethernet cable from Data IN to your Computer.
If you are using a Router then Data IN goes to your Router.
Optional, you can put another ethernet cable from your Router out ports to Data OUT which will activate the other rooms in that house. Any other secondary rooms that have a Data port available will then be able to have a wired connection to the wall.

Obtain your MAC/Physical Address
A) Single Computer

Apple OS
Go to: Apple - System Preferences - Network - Built-In Ethernet - Ethernet ID

Windows OS
For a single windows computer you can obatin the MAC address by running the command below to get the Physical Address. The Physical address is the same as the MAC address. Make sure to only get the one listed under Local Area Connection.

Open a DOS window [in Windows XP (Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt)].
At the command prompt enter ipconfig, e.g...C:\Documents and Settings\MyName>ipconfig /all
Windows IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.100
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
Physical Address . . . . . . . . . : 00:0C:76:A2:21:BE

You can also check your IP Configuration through Network Connections.
For Windows XP go to Start, Control Panel, Network Connections. Right click Local Area Connection and click Status, Support, Details. Within Details you will see similiar IP Config info as above.
For Windows Visa go to Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center, Manage Network Connections. Right click Local Area Connection and click Status, Details. Within Details you will see similiar IP Config info as above.

B) Router
If you want to connect a Router do the following.
Check the brand and model # of your router so you know what manufacturer to contact for advanced help.
Your router will usually come with a setup CD which you can run to do the initial setup and access your router.
When running the setup you should be able to leave everything to defaults and just make sure the Connection Type is set to Automatic Configuration - DHCP. After running the CD it should give you instructions on how to login to manage your Router. Login to your Router and look for the Internet MAC address which is usually on a page/tab called Status. Within there you will see a MAC/Physical address that you will need to provide to us. Note the MAC address on a sticker on the back of the Router is usually not the correct one. You actually need to login as mentioned above.

If you do not have the CD, you can login to your router manually by browsing to the Gateway. The Default Gateway can be seen above in part A) when Command Prompt - ipconfig /all was run.

In the example above you would browse to your gateway of: http://192.168.0.1/ and it will prompt for a user/pass.
If you do not know the password then click the reset button on the back of the router to set it to factory defaults. That way you can then do a Google search or contact the manufacturer to find out the default user/pass for your router model #. Usually by default its user: admin / pass: admin

Once you login to your Router look for a Connection setup page and make sure it is set to Automatic Configuration - DHCP and save the settings. Then look for the Internet MAC address which is usually on a page/tab called Status. This is the MAC/Physical address that you will need to provide to us.

Once you provide us with the MAC/Physical Address you can then go to your Router Status page to see if your router Shows "Connected" or not. If connected then it should show an IP Address starting with 192.168.0.XX

Any Router specific questions such as password recovery, wireless, etc. should be directed to your Router manufacturer.

Any other questions related to your initial setup can be directed to our support department at http://Support.Colony1.Net/ or 954-341-7031
