Login to Plesk at https://plesk.colony1.net:8443/
Choose Domains and then click the specific Domain.

If your current Primary Domain is not being used any longer you can Rename Domain.
To Rename Domain, under Domain Administration click the down arrow and click the choice for Rename Domain.

If you want to add additional Domains that point to the same Primary Domain you can add them under Domain Aliases.
To add Domain Aliaseses, under Website click Domain Aliases.

Note: When adding new domains make sure to point the name servers to DNS4.Colony1.Net and DNS5.Colony1.Net. This can be done at the location where you registered/purchased the Domain.
Setup Several Password Protected Directories that you and/or clients can View, Download, and Upload Files

1)
Typically this is used where you have one main Directory that has the Virtual Directory - Directory Browsing, so users can see all Directory Folders in the main Directory. Directory Browsing Instructions seen here:
http://support.colony1.net/KB/a207/how-to-allow-users-to-see-listing-the-files-subdirectories.aspx

2)
Then you have subfolders that are Password Protected so users have to login to a sub directory before then can see the files/folders. Password Protection Instructions seen here:
http://support.colony1.net/KB/a206/how-to-password-protect-directories-in-plesk.aspx

3)
Finally you also allow users to upload files/folders by having individual FTP accounts for them. FTP Account Instructions seen here:
http://support.colony1.net/KB/a205/how-to-add-ftp-accounts-in-plesk.aspx

Example, so you could have:
A folder called /Public_Company_Files/ which allows all Files/Directory Browsing to be viewable from 1) above.
Then Sub-Directories under it called /Billing/ etc. that are password protected from 2) above.
Then you can have an FTP account called Billing_FTP from 3) above.

So now This will give you a URL, http:// {Your_Domain} /Public_Company_Files/Billing/, which is Password Protected.
Then a Billing Rep can go to that URL and enter the user/pass to get access and they will be able to see all Files/Directories.
Also the Billing Rep can upload Files to /Billing/ through the Billing_FTP Account.

Login to Plesk Control Panel at https://plesk.colony1.net:8443/

Once logged in go to 'Domains'
Click on 'YourDomain'
Click the Files Tab downdown and choose Web Directories
Navigate to the directory in which you want to create a new virtual directory
Click, Create Virtual Directory
Name:

Path:
-(Select the Create physical directory with the same name as virtual directory check box to automatically create a physical directory with the same name as the virtual directory you are creating)
-(Clear the Create physical directory with the same name as virtual directory check box and specify the path in the field to select the physical directory that already exists)

Read permission: Check box

Directory browsing
(Select this check box to allow users to see a hypertext listing of the files and subdirectories in the virtual directory)

*It's suggested to leave anything else un-checked for a basic safe setup.

Now if you browse to the virtual directory you should be able to see all files/folders where the virtual directory points to. eg. http:// {Your_Domain} / {Virtual_Directory_Name}/

Login to Plesk Control Panel at https://plesk.colony1.net:8443/

Once logged in go to 'Domains'
Click on 'YourDomain'
Click, Password Protected Directories (under Files Tab)
Click, Add Protected Directory

Directory name:
(Specify the path to the directory in your site, (eg. /files). If the directory does not exist then specify the directory name path and it will be created or first create it through FTP.)
*Note you should not put spaces in directory or file names as when you email someone the URL it will not auto link the full url in the email because it has a spaces. Instead use underscores "_". Else if you still have to use spaces then when providing a link first browse to it so it adds "%20" in the space slot and that might allow the link to be clickable in their email.

Header Text: (Name shown in welcome message to users)
Click, OK

Now you will want to create Web Users to access the protected directory
Click the Protected Directory you just created
Add New User
New User
Password
Click, OK

Now if you browse to the protected directory you should get a user/pass prompt to access. eg. http:// {Your_Domain} / {Protected_Directory_Name}/

Password Protected Directories is a good way to allow only certain users to access directories that contain files to download or view such as PDF's.
To View a File, Click any File or Folder
To Download a File, Right Click the File and choose (Save Target As) or (Save Link As) to save to your Computer.
