Adding additional editor fonts

It is not possible to add custom fonts to the COOLSite Editor. It would be considered non-standard fonts to the web/browsers since no one will be able to see the font unless they also have it installed to their computer. To overcome this issue, web safe fonts were introduced which are a list of fonts that are guaranteed to work on all computers that might view your site. Our editor currently includes most web safe fonts that are viewable across different computers.

You can Backup / Save Content from any Editor by saving its HTML code.
This is useful for moving Configure Layout content, Backing up Free-Form pages, etc.

To do this:
Click the "Source" (Edit HTML Source) in the Editor toolbar first row.
The HTML Code will appear in the window
Copy All (Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C) HTML text from that window.
Paste (Ctrl-V) the HTML text into a NotePad text file.
Save the NotePad file to your Computer.

Now you have everything shown in the Editor saved and it can be restored to another editor at any point by pasting it into another HTML Source Editor window and saving it.
When you insert a new table using the editor, by default the table is made to be transparent.

However, in order to make a table that isn't transparent transparent, here is what you have to do:

1) Highlight the Table, then right click and choose Cell, then Cell properties.

2)
When the Cell properties pop up window appears, you will see Background Color and Border Color in the lower right of the window.

3) "Border color" and "Background color", both need to be empty in order to make the table
transparent. If you see any text in either of these fields, then delete
it completely. Once both fields are empty, click the "OK" button at
the bottom of the pop up window.

The pop up window will close and your table will be transparent. Click "Process Page Update" to save your work and you're done!

Copying and Pasting in Editor

When building pages using the COOLSite Editor, such as a Free Form page, it is common that you will want to Copy and Paste content from other editing software sources such as Microsoft Word or other websites.

These other sources can carry over unwanted formatting that can only be seen in the Raw HTML. This can cause issues when you are editing the page further.

We suggest that before pasting content from other sources into the Editor, to do the following first. This will eliminate these types of issues.

1. Copy the content that you will be pasting into the Editor.

2. Open the Notepad application on your computer. This is usually found under your programs menu in the "Windows Accessories" folder.

3. Paste your content into the Notepad application (Edit > Paste).

4. Copy the content from the Notepad application (Edit > Select All, followed by Edit > Copy).

5. Paste content into the COOLSite Editor.

Note: Doing the above will remove all formatting and structure from your content and will leave it as plain text. You can then re-format and style your content accordingly using the COOLSite Editor.
