Flash Intros are animated content (audio, video, text) that your clients see when they initially go to your site. You
can look at a flash intro as a mini TV commercial if you will, since it
is used to not only provide your customers with some basic information
about your site, such as your company name and possibly a brief
synopsis of your business such as what products or services you offer,
but also it is a way of attracting your customers to stay on and view
your site. Therefore, in essence you can say that a flash intro is a marketing tool to help attract customers to view your site.
You can choose from various flash intros that we currently offer for use with your Cool Site. To access the flash intros, you will need to click on “Flash Intros” from you admin area. Here you will be able to preview the intros to see which one is most appealing to you. You can use the “Back” & “Next” buttons above to navigate through the different sets (pages) of flash intros that you can choose from. Once you find a flash intro that you like to use with your cool site, click on the “Buy Now” link. From
the next page, you will be able to customize your intro with your
company name, slogan, and up to 5 sets of customized text that you
would like to show up on your flash intro. In addition, you will be able to provide your credit card information to make the purchase. After you have filled out the necessary fields, you can click on the “Complete Purchase” button at the bottom of the page.
Now
that you have purchased your flash intro, when someone goes to your
site, they will initially see your flash intro and after the intro is
done playing, they will then be redirected to your default homepage that you current have set in the “List Pages” section of your admin area.
To change your current default home page, you will need to do the following:
Click on “List Pages” from your admin area.
At this point, you can choose any page within your site to be your default home page. Simply click the radio button under the "Home Page" column that corresponds with the page you wish to assign as your home page.
