When
building pages using the COOLSite Editor, such as a freeform page, it
is common that you will want to Copy and Paste content from other
editing software sources. These other sources do not always build the
content in complete HTML format which is needed for properly creating
the website pages. A common example of this is
copying content from Microsoft Word and pasting it into the COOLSite
Editor. The editor will accept all the pasted content but some of the
content, only seen in the Raw HTML, will have additional formatting
used only by that other source. This can cause issues when you are
editing the page further. We suggest that you use one of the following
Editor Toolbar Icons to correct these types of issues. You will need to
highlight the text that you pasted and then click one of the icons
below.
Paint
Brush (Cleanup Messy Code): This will usually let you keep most of the
structure of the content (Size, Bold, Bullets, etc.) but removes
specific formatting in the raw html that can cause issues.
Eraser
(Remove Formatting): This will remove all formatting and structure. It
will leave you with the text only which you can then start edit using
the COOLSite editor.
