1. Login to Webmail at
https://Mail.Colony1.Net/.
2. Click on the "
Settings" button at the top.
3. Expand the "
Filtering" folder in the left panel and click on "
Spam Filtering".
4. On the "
Options" tab you can then choose to use the default spam settings (which you can then view by clicking on the "Actions" tab) or you can override the spam settings for your account.
NOTE: By default, e-mails that are considered Low and Medium Probability of Being Spam are still routed to the inbox and marked in the Subject [SPAM-LOW]/[SPAM-MED]. E-mails that are considered a High Probability of Being Spam are automatically moved to your Junk E-Mail Folder which can only be seen via Webmail or IMAP. Overriding your spam settings will allow you to set your own actions accordingly. For example, you can have e-mails that are considered Medium Spam routed to your Junk E-Mail Folder or have High Spam set to Delete. By default, the Junk E-Mail folder is to setup Auto-Clean (remove) messages older than 2 weeks.
5. If you choose to override your spam settings, you will then need to click on the "
Actions" tab to set your actions accordingly.
6.
Trusted Senders tab -- you can enter e-mail addresses OR domain names (one per line) into this box and when you receive an e-mail from one of these trusted senders, all spam filtering for that e-mail will be bypassed, but content filtering rules will still apply.
*Note: There is a “Junk E-mail” folder in webmail and also may be one within E-mail client programs such as Outlook. These are typically Not the same folders unless you specifically have them set to sync via IMAP. Colony One E-mail system uses it to move high spam into instead of delivering it into the inbox. Separately, eg. Outlook can be setup to move messages immediately from the inbox to the Outlook “Junk E-mail” after they are downloaded which is fully controlled by Outlook (Tools – Options – Preferences – Junk E-mail Options).
