Domain Alias setup for Email

We offer one primary Email domain setup per website. Any additional independent Primary Email domain setups have an extra cost as seen at http://support.colony1.net/KB/a198/email-hosting-costs.aspx

You can however, at no extra charge, have a Domain Alias setup.

The Domain Alias type is used to immediately forward any received messages to the Primary domain.

This is useful where you have registered multiple combinations of a domain names and want all messages to be collected from one point.

For example, if you own
MyShop.com
MyShop.net
MyShop.org
and you want all messages to go to MyShop.com (Primary)

So all Users setup under the Primary domain will be treated the same for any of the domain endings above. For example, if you Send or Recieve email from User@MyShop.com or User@MyShop.net or User@MyShop.org it all collects at the same location. This also means, when using Webmail, Outlook, etc., the password for a User is the same no matter what domain ending you use.

On the server side all of the Users will show under the Primary domain and the rest of the domains will just be a mirror to all settings from the Primary.

If you need any Domain Aliases added let us know by contacting us at http://www.colony1.net/
*Note the addtional Domains (Domain Aliases) must be already pointed to your website.
